Wishlist // In all things Nautical

☆.。.:*・°☆.。.:*・°☆.。.:*・°☆.。.:*・°☆

Ever since Bugsy left for Boot in MI, besides missing him a lot; I've been really into looking for things nautical themed. Now don't judge me yet, just because my SO is in the Navy, it doesn't mean I automatically got into this bandwagon. I've always been into anything Nautical; from pirates to sailors, mermaids and the sea, you  name it! Above are my wishlist for the month of September to commemorate my Bugsy and his trip in Boot and A- school.

To my Military So out there, I am in need of a MILSO buddy, I know I'm only his girlfriend but I believe we share the same compassion, pain in waiting and happiness for each other. I would love it if you can adopt me into your little community. I'm not much of a person, but I'm talkative enough to be interesting. Leave me a comment and I'm for sure going to reply!

Anchoring away!
THANKS FOR TUNING IN!

Photodiary // Sunset

I know.. I know.. it's been a long time ever since I posted...
What can I say, I usually get those "introvert" moments...

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Introverts aren't cool nor I'm not dissing the fact of being one.

I love being an Introvert.

Being by yourself and just thinking and swimming in you own thoughts is such a majestic feeling for me. It enables me to know myself a little bit more every time I have my moments. Unfortunately, not a lot of people understand what it means to be an Introvert and an Extrovert, I would love to stay and explain myself but I guess that's for a different post for fun! Yay!

It's really hard to explain oneself when you can't even explain it to YOURSELF.
I know I'm just rambling now like I always do but what ever... here's a bunch of pictures from where I will live...

.SUNSET.

My favorite part of the day. There's something about this time of day that just feels so ... right.
The moment the Sun dives down as it swims through a rush of clouds gives of a nostalgic feeling of contentment.
I may have the same feeling like any other person out there and I'm glad. The Twilight (there I said it, fucking movie....ruining a perfect word..) *sigh*

Anyways, I don't want to make this segment a Ramble now, so here it is.. I know its very short but what the heck..

One last note, I absolutely enjoy how the mixture of lights formed with the subtle appearance  of the clouds with the hint of the sleeping sun makes the sight very .. magical that it makes me smile... makes me happy.

I hope it gives off that vibe to everyone as well...

And as I've said countless times.....

Thanks for tuning in~

Blathering Nonsense // I can't change even if I wanted to

Growing up, I was always an open-minded person.

I guess you could say that even though my parents left me wandering about this world of ours by myself I still think I'm pretty lucky because that helped me see it in a different way, in a way how I see people and how I critique them. I'm thinking of putting this section here as a ramble but it s not just any ramble, it's a post about me blathering because of a certain thing, either object, poem, song, movie.. or just stuff..

I introduce the "Blathering Nonsense"

This came from the song by Macklemore - Same Love where it reminded me of my past. I love how this song tackled not only Same Sex Marriage but Equality altogether. I was brought by my parents thinking everyone is equal, well not really. They're like all parents, you are the greatest one, the prettiest, the smartest. I don't detest them on that logic, that's their job! But what I did appreciate about how they raised me is that they respected me, not in a sense of sheltering or ever cowering but more of a sense of understanding that I am who I am. Sadly, society thinks otherwise. Growing up, I was bullied in my own country because of my skin color which goes to show racism does not have preferences. My skin-tone is paler compared to most Filipinos but I never thought of that as a privilege but more of a coincidence that God made my family's pigment a bit more sensitive than others. Again, society thinks otherwise.

Review // Dermalogica - Total Eye Care with spf 15

Hey everyone~
So as promised on this post, I am back for another review from one of the staple products I use for my dehydrated face for this Summer Season. I am going to review ...

"Dermalogica - Total Eye Care w/ SPF 15 "

This tube is actually pretty small as it came from the Dermalogica Dry Skin Kit at Ulta for about $37.00, not bad for a whole beginner set including cleanser, exfoliate, moisturizer and a toner along with a "gift".
I actually bought this kit way back so I apologize that I don't have any pictures of them.

Out of all of them, I really like this one. It came in a 4 mL tube [i know, it's pretty minuscule] but I've been using it for about 2-3 months daily and I think it's time to replace it.

Really cute and tiny.
The tube is permanently closed and to be able to open it you have to cut a tiny hole up on the tip of the nozzle.  Since the material is pretty thick, it doesn't spill like I thought it would.

DIRECTIONS: Gently pat around eye area. Use daily.

WARNINGS: For external use only, not to be swallowed. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, flush thoroughly with water. If irritation develops, discontinue use. Do not use on infants under 5 months old.

:Here's how I use it:

I squeeze out a dollop of the product onto my ring finger and pat it directly on my eyelids and/or black circle area until its fully blended to your skin.

for picture reference, I used my hand.

The actual product is pretty thick like a BB cream but easier to apply than a concealer. It's not as heavy as such, although I find it really hard to blend when you're in a hurry to catch your train or just really late with anything.

The product is good for the whole day. For a sample, it really impressed me. The SPF in the product boosts my confidence for facing the harsh summer sun as well, since I don't have to put sunblock on my eye area every time I go out. It doesn't have a foul smell of sunblock which I like really much.

This product did not give me milia

PRICE :
-- For the price of $37.00, I believe there are much better products, although this ones amazing, it really isn't  frugal-friendly.

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT IT :
-- The SPF. Even though it only offers up to 15, it's still a pretty decent amount to put in your eye.
-- The size. It's very compact and travel-sized good if you're always on the go.
--  The smell is amazing. It smells like powder. You can't really smell it that much tough since its applied on your eye area... haha.
--  The tube makes it easy to put on the ring finger. One squeeze and you're off.

WHAT I  DON'T LIKE ABOUT IT :
-/- Since it doesn't have a cap or any form of closing, it kind of bothered me whenever I use it.
-/- When you're almost done with the tube, it gets harder and harder to use; imagine when you're running out of toothpaste but with a thicker material for a tube.
-/- It's hard to blend in and have to at least spend a couple of minutes to dry before you apply foundation which gets very annoying over time.

WOULD I REPURCHASE IT?
--  Sadly, no. I love this product but as I said before in my Clinique post, I have an ongoing search but for now this will do. And for $37.00 for a whole kit, I believe this is a good product to try out.

Altogether, I am definitely elated to have discovered Dermalogica, it's one of the very few products I've used that didn't give me any allergic effects. Clinique is one of them too but my main problem area are my eyes. I have panda eyes. Luckily, my glasses cover them like a concealer would but sometimes it gets to you, y'know. Therefore, I am still searching how to at least alleviate these problem eyes of mine. Sadly, Dermalogica  is a good but mediocre product. I would recommend it for beginners but if you're a bit more on the experienced side who's looking for an affordable skin care, The Dry Kit is not for you. I heard that they have the Age Smart Starter Kit. I would love to give it a try, but later on when the price is right.

As always,

THANK YOU FOR TUNING IN ☆彡

Word Cesspool // Happy 16th of July? [[a 4th of July post]]

Hey guys! I know it's too late but I wanted to make sure I shared this experience with you
>////<
I know it took a long time before I could post this but I just wanted to share with you all how I spent my 4th of July.

4th of July is one of my favorite holidays, not only because I'm off at work but also because it commemorated the moment our courageous soldiers fought for what we have right now... Freedom.

The Sleeping Giant has proven to everyone that no matter what situation life puts you in, there will always be hope.

I was born and raised in the Philippines so I apologize if my grammar on most of my post or the way I word them seems pretty, darn horrible. I'm striving to be better and as I continuously do what I do, I believe I will get better. I wasn't born in this beautiful country but I still feel blessed that she treats me like as if I did.

I'm not gonna start a lesson about the history of this nation's independence, so you can go back to your seats and keep reading as I'm about to unfold what I really came here for...
(*≧▽≦)ノシ))

= / / =

My 4th of July was spent with my friends at their place wherein as tradition, just had an All-American (slightly Italian) lunch. It was a simple lunch treat that we thought would pay respect for living in this amazing country for the past 5 years or so.

My best friend and I were the ones who prepared and served lunch. I was in charge of one entree and she was in-charge of the other. We prepared  pretty hefty lunch by accident and sadly, we never got a chance to eat dessert but no matter, as all bellies were filled.
And that for me is more than enough.

So without further a do, here it is....

For my side of the plate, I prepared an All-American... *wait for it*
Burgers!!

While I prepared the patties, my best friend was already cooking hers which is a Traditional-style Spaghetti. We thought I'd be nice to prepare a lot that day. Both of us made these dishes ourselves and for that, we are pretty proud of ourselves.

I originally planned to make sliders so it's not that heavy, unfortunately, the store was out of slider buns that came in bulk that I had to resort to the regular sized ones.

In the end, this is what the table looks like.
The burger was home-made. I thought that if I make them by scratch it'll give me more leeway to add some and subtract some.

The buns with sesame seeds are actually more expensive so I had to improvise and buy some sesame seeds and just put them there, which worked like a charm!

After everything, we were able to make at least 9 burgers to feed a group of 7, and I'm very elated to say that there were no leftovers.
 (^▽^)

In the end, we just chilled in the living room and ended up playing Risk [the board game] and basically just continued watching my guy friends play the Resident Evil 6 game and ended up finishing it in less than a whole day. Sure it's not a family BBQ in the backyard but it's definitely what we wanted to have...just chilling out with your friends.

Oh what a marvelous sight~ ヘ( ̄ω ̄ヘ)

Recipes will be posted next time as this post is long enough already it already missed the 4th of July train.

I hope you guys had a great 4th as I did.

Please do not forget the real meaning of our country's independence. It's not a day like any normal weekends that you get at work but it's to give respect to those who has served this country well.

As Paul Sweeney said;
"How often we fail to realize our good fortune in living in a country where happiness is more than a lack of tragedy."

And that is that.

Thanks for tuning in~

Life as you know it // The little things

Happy Sunday Pacific Coast!
Just a quick update with what is going on with my life, I hope you're as interested as I am.
Expressing myself through words and pictures, the best thing I can do.

This post will be better off as a photo dump rather than an update but it doesn't matter, on wards to the snapshots.

I recently got a full-time job so it's really hard to come up with something interesting to blog knowing I have ZERO time for anything else. But I know I can be interesting somehow (//・_・//)
= // =

Green Juice -  something healthy that my best friend concocted. I'm obviously obsessed with the thing no matter what color it has.
Spaghetti dinner my best friend made for us a couple of nights ago. I thought it was a nice way of expressing gratitude by putting it up here.

The whole enchila.... spaghetti.

= // =

Have you guys ever been to Five Guys? If not, you are missing out. Sure, it's not like In-N-Out but in my opinion it can be one of the next best thing after.

As stated, it's kinda true. I enjoyed my time here. I should do a review, no?

FREE PEANUTS
I cannot stress that enough.

= // =

A trip to Little Tokyo and this amazing banner; unfortunately I get overly excited over the simplest of things

I am currently obsessing over my Dansko shoes, the bane of all shoes..
Seriously why does it have to be so comfy?!

You gotta admit, these water bottles are adorable.

= // =

I might lose readers but i am ultimately terrified of cats, due to past childhood experiences, the worst thing that could happen is a cat blocking my way home knowing that I needed to pee badly.

= // =

Why would I post something so random? Simple.

Why not?

The title of the post is "The Little Things"  and it's exactly what it is, small things in your life that matters. Do not ignore them, for the love of Loki.  Do not look into life like a bullet train, stop for awhile and think what made everything happen, what made you happen. Everything in your life has something to do with everything. Take the time to appreciate the people around you, give them a hug, a Thank you for they are responsible for what is happening around you. Take the time to respect your surroundings for they never last.

Smile. Laugh.Love.

My friends and I, sadly, we're all wearing glasses (/。\)

CP Chronicles // The update

Ever since Bugsy gave me his computer tower, everything became so easy and a wee-bit stress free, its like I'm back to where I was.... I'm home.

I was able to post here random stuff for you guys until one day I remembered I have this part of the blog wherein I just rant and ramble through the use of my phone.

-//-

Was there a time where you can  just remember things you don't want to? Where you can't run away from a memory that keeps haunting you?
I believe that in life your greatest enemy and your best friend is..  You.

You are your own shadow and your own spotlight. If there ever was a time that you just wanna give up, want to think of ending all of this, you have to go back there... I understand that it's frightening because its a very vulnerable part of your existence but I want you to go back and you have to keep asking until you have a satisfying answer. Ask yourself one question and never as in NEVER stop asking..

-Why?-

To be honest, I'm not going to be the person whose gonna tell you artificial advice saying  "Its just you, it'll pass!", "You can do it!", and my most favorite one, "Be yourself".

Be yourself.

A phrase uttered by human beings, a phrase expressed by none yet endlessly spoken by some.

I hate that phrase.
I hate that advice.
I hate that presumption.

Why?
Why not?Being yourself is one of the most flip-sided things you can ever tell a person.
In this world, people will eat you alive,  figuratively.
Society wants you to "be yourself" yet it continuously molds you to become the other, what good does being yourself do?
People will leave you out when you're not like them, but that's what makes one another unique but nooo.
Dress exceptionally, people will think you're crazy,
If we ever try to be ourselves, society stops us.
There's no winning this awful battle.
Bullying still happens my friends. Everyday it's a constant battle happening not only to adults but children alike.
Adults will act as if they're in some sort of competition, their children will see it and will do the same, Parents will fight with other parents alike.
In result,an endless cycle of mischief.

So how do we stop it ?
Unfortunately, I don't know myself.

I hate to end my rant this way but in life there are no fairy tale ending, only mundane finale of yet another chapter.

Life is but a book with a lot of ups and downs, a constant battle where the end is death. You have to keep fighting, you have to keep going, when everything is dull and lifeless, look down at your feet and command it to go infront of the other.

I'll end this rant with a quote my friend said which I liked very much, it goes like this;

The fact that you are "here" means that you will get "there". The only difference between "here" and "there" is the T, which means TIME.
So never give up!

Review // Black & Decker Dustbuster Cordless Vacuum Pt.2

I have never done a review before but here we go. This is from my previous post about my purchase which can be found here

This post might be short but I'd rather focus on one thing at a time ... And now, the review;

Pros:
  • very affordable if you're broke as a joke like me
  • its very compact and easy to assemble which makes it very convenient when you're too lazy to clean but wants to get the job done.
  • very easy to clean
  • the filter can be used multiple times in which I think is a blessing.
  • the nozzle can be adjusted or elongated rather which us a very good function if you're trying to clean hard to reach spots.
  • the functionality is very simple as it only has one function -- ON or OFF.
Cons:
  • its gets a tad bit heavy over time and since you're bending down, it gets tiring and makes your back ache.
  • you have to charge it overnight once you first get it before you could be able to use it (not entirely sure if it's the usual norm but that's  a con for me since I wouldn't be able to use it right away!)
  • you have to charge it all the time. The longeviity of the sucker depends on how long its been charged.

Overall: [[  ]]
  • Overall, I knocked two stars out because of the heaviness, but other than that, the price is very forgiving and the ability to clean both hardwood and carpet is impressive.
Would I recommend it?
  • A little bit of Yes and No.
  • Yes, It's very cheap compared to others and can suffice if you have a small room like mine, but if you're thinking for an alternative to an actual size vacuum; I would recommend just getting a full size one if you can afford a few more bucks. Although, the capability of the Black and Decker is phenomenal compared to generic brands plus the brand is quite trusted; I guess it only depends on your taste. °ω°

All-in-all, I'm glad I purchased this product even with all the flaws it comes with, you can't win them all right?
You can easily buy this at any home store and I'm definite that you guys will appreciate the hard work this little sucker is going to offer.

Thanks for tuning in!

Rant Post # 1 // Finally

Hello wonderful people of the Mother Urf....

I would like to let you guys know that  I FINALLY got the chance to set up my desktop. Therefore, I can now regularly blog! Which is good news for me because blogging might not be the most private diary in the world but it is something I consider therapy.

I actually have no idea where to start my rant for today. I just literally spent about three (3) hours just customizing my new tower.. well more like pre-loved. Bugsy (you will meet him later on) just gave me his tower, which I find really sweet.

Now, it is June 17, 2013 and from where I'm sitting with John Meyer blasting from my Spotify, my whole room filled with cherry blossom scent and my fire alarm chirping its annoying chirp hinting me to replace its batteries, I can truly say I am at peace.

This post is nothing but touching base with my life from my previous post which was at least (2) months ago.Its already been 2 months?! Man, time flies by so very fast. I never even mentioned to you all that Bugsy is leaving for his basic and boot for the US Navy. But this is for another story.

For now, I'm just glad I have access to my addiction once again.

And I'm most definitely sure that I will be posting a lot more now.

But for now, my little random blurting ends here.

See you lovelies!

CP Chronicles // coupons

Hello there, its been a long while since I have posted anything.... I'm just quite anxious to get my tower so I can post properly as well as use the computer. This is the worst withdrawal I've ever had. The computer has been my little piece of sanctuary where I can share my thoughts, hence, this blog. It's also where I can observe, learn and practice what its like outside. Sure, there's more to life when you're outside but being me... The introverted, awkward, fun-sized me... I'd rather stay here in front of my monitor and watch.

Okay fine I'm rambling, today I did go outside. I received mail where I can get discount, I wish I was popular enough to actually give you guys, my awesome readers, something so you could feel appreciated but I think its something I will bump into the future... I hope.

This post will have another part where it consists of a review as well as un-boxing. This is the 1st part.
First I got a coupon from Best Buy via email where I get $20 off my receipt and that I did ... I did get $20 off my purchases. I got myself a tripod for MoMo and a pair of cheap earphones. I don't really mind the brand as long as it has a built-in microphone, I tend to lose them like bobby pins anyways so its alright. Next is the star of my day which is my new tripod! Which hopefully by next post I will review.
Then, I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond where I got a 20% off so I got myself a vacuum, again reviews on next post. Its by Black & Decker and some coasters as well as sheet straps, so I always sleep with my beds made... Wouldn't anyone love to have that!? I know I do, haha...

But yeah, that is it for updates... Tune in next time for the reviews...

Till then you all,
Stay classy!

Ramble post // in the middle of the night

Hello guys.
I'm sorry it's been a long time since I posted anything and yes, I'm still alive and still with no sense of humor.
I just had the craziest dream today. Maybe I'm working too much, maybe I'm just not getting enough rest or maybe my head is just crazy like that.
So let me tell you about my dream. I did in fact fell asleep with the lights on and yes, my cellphone was on my face, so yup, my mistake...but anyways, onwards to the story.
Started off in the middle...like all dreams.
{Fact: Dreams always starts in the middle.}
Source: Can you ever remember how a dream started?
Anyways, I happen to witness my boss, I work for 3 brothers and this guy's the middle child, so we'll just call him, Mid. {no creativity there but that's that}
So I witnessed "Mid" getting entrapped by this young lady who seems like her babysitter and is very in love with him, who happens to look like Daniella Monet...
{The one on the right. They made her the "fat older sister" but i believe that she's hotter than most girls in the show}

So then, "Mid" finally agrees to marry this crazy chick right and then she realizes {insert tv drama realization effects and sounds} that he is living in this crummy, Jewish apartment {no offense to my Jewish readers, of course} and the dream broke off because I woke up.

BUT WAIT!, There's more!!!
And this time I'm in the dream, not just the spectator...
I woke up and realized that I left my lights open but since I'm still pretty drowsy, my lazy ass decided to doze off once more...
Again, it started in the middle and this time my cubicle turns into a cubicle of instead a chair, I have a large futon and next to me was two of my bosses, "Mid" and "Last". {Ignore my naming skills its 6 in the morning here}
It seems like we were having a good time from where my dream started because they were laughing and telling jokes of how Mid's wife sound like "a non-existent" Ety Marriato. {She does not exist people, i checked}
So then I told them I don't know who she is. ... and as "Last" was telling me how "Mid's" wife cannot be invited to parties because she sounds like she has diarrhea all the time, "Mid" then shows us a VHS and inserts it in the tv that suddenly popped up infront of us... {Just then did I realize that I was in fact, another dream} and some lady was singing very slowly with excessive vibrato and they were just rolling off their backs, laughing...

 The end.
I woke up and finally turned the lights on and wrote this post.
Crazy, right?
 Fine....

TL;DR: I had a crazy dream about my bosses at work, one that looks like Daniella Monet and another one that consists of them laughing at one of their wife.
